Power your Joomla! website with A/B testing from Convert Experiences with this one-click plugin

Overview

Joomla! is a CMS system used by millions all over the world and Convert Experiences now offers integration with one click using this extension.

In addition the basic javascript installation of the header script, this plugin automatically tags important Joomla page content for use within Convert.com’s suite of tools. This allows you to target specific pages like categories, components, views, user id, user group id and Itemid (available in plan: Expert, Agency and Enterprise).

Installation

  • You must have a Convert.com account to use this extension. Please be sure to sign up first.
  • Download the free extension from PolishedGeek by clicking on the right Download button (no need to register!)
  • Use the standard Joomla Installer in the administrator panel to install the extension
  • Enable the plugin using the Joomla Extension Manager
  • Copy your project number from Convert Experiences into the plugin configuration field and Save (see screenshot below)
  • Clear any site cache to ensure that the plugin is running on all Joomla pages

Ecommerce Tagging

Ecommerce for Agency & Enterprise plans are available, see the following integrations that are available with this extension:

  • Page Type – the view variable from the Joomla component in use on the page
  • Category ID – for Joomla com_content, the category id will be returned
  • Category Name – for Joomla com_content, the category name will be returned
  • Customer ID – Customer id number (when customer is logged in)
  • Custom Variable 1 – Joomla component name
  • Custom Variable 2 – User group id (if logged in)
  • Custom Variable 3 – for Joomla com_content, the article id will be returned
  • Custom Variable 4 – Joomla! Itemid number (menu id)
