Does VWO allow monthly plans?

No. All new customers have to purchase annual plans. Though in some cases three month commitments are allowed.

The brand Visual Website Optimizer (VWO) recently phased out its older and much loved plans structure.

Right now it offers two products - the Web Testing platform through which users can run a variety of A/B/N tests, split tests and multivariate tests. This platform does not come with fancier features like session replays, heat maps, form analytics and easy surveys.

The CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) platform is far more robust. It includes all the bells and whistles that VWO has always been known for. CRO encompasses key tools to help testers:

  • Identify optimization opportunities
  • Prioritize them
  • Test them
  • Use the insights for future learning

How are VWO prices determined?

VWO pricing is based on two factors - the volume of visitors on whom you wish to run tests and the volume of visitors you would like to research with.

Each plan comes with a set number of unique tested visitors and a set number of visitors who can be served variations, personalizations and surveys to test the relevance and effectiveness of optimization techniques.

Who would benefit the most from VWO Web Testing plans?

VWO Web Testing is a good fit for businesses that have well-defined CRO budgets and can allocate resources in bulk for annual plans.

Since the 12M tested visitors per year option can cost up to USD 28,000 paid in one go, brands that see lower volumes of traffic and wish to retain the ability to choose their own optimization stack (as opposed to the all-in-one approach of the CRO platform) would find the VWO Web Testing product to be a good choice.

What are VWO’s Javascript capabilities?

VWO offers a code editor for testers who want to dive deep and code up their own variants. Optimizers can use this code editor to apply Test JS/CSS and execute changes across the website, including all variations and the control. They can also apply Global JS/CSS changes to all their test pages (again, including the control). All VWO plans come with the Code Editor.

The VWO API is organized around the REST architecture style and encodes data in JSON. It supports the basic HTTP request types of POST, GET, PATCH, and DELETE.
