Content promotion is evolving partly due to the emergence of new tech capabilities, shifts in algorithms, and ever-more distracted audiences. With these changes, content marketers need to be even more informed on the best practices for promoting content, and simultaneously be relentless in the pursuit of traffic and engagement. Audience Building Through Influencer Marketing

Big business advertisers and content marketers are quickly seeing influencer marketing as one of the most effective forms of advertising today, and for the foreseeable future. A study by Collective Bias found that as many as 70% of millennials are influenced by the recommendations of their peers in buying decisions. There are a multitude of ways to build an audience and drive engagement, especially when using influencer marketing on Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube.

If you’re looking to take advantage of the influencer gravy train, follow these steps:

  1. Find notable influencers who are relevant to your niche by using a tool like Ahrefs or Buzzsumo. If you want to skip the software route, you could also search for relevant hashtags on Twitter or Instagram to find influencers with high engagement on their posts.

Email Marketing

Marketing your content via email still reigns supreme in 2019. In fact, email marketing delivers an average return-on-investment of $44 for every $1 spent. That’s a jaw-dropping 4400% ROI. So it goes without saying that you should be email blasting your list of followers when any new content drops to maximize its exposure and get the best bang for your buck.
