Day 1 — Wednesday, 9 September 2026
The Claude UX Factory Is Real: Break the Cycle of Sameness in AI Designs by Victoria Bakos
A blueprint for efficient, soulful design
CRO Product Designer @ Miso
Open a dozen AI-built landing pages. Same hero. Same gradient. Same “clean” card grid. Victoria calls it the Claude UX Factory - and she’s here to shut down the assembly line. Working across UX, UI & CRO at Miso, she’ll show you the visual tells of AI-generated design, where AI-built flows fail real users, and the exact point in your process where AI helps most. Leave knowing what to automate, what to keep manual, and how to keep shipping fast - without surrendering the human touch that makes a brand worth noticing.
THEME: 🎨 Usability & Design
The Algorithm Can’t Lick a Stamp by Lauren Wong
Using offline as your next breakthrough channel.
Fractional CMO & Advisor
AI can write your email, personalize your push, and A/B test your subject line before your morning coffee. The marketing that persuades? A hand-written note you don’t want to bin. “Do things that don’t scale” is everyone’s favorite advice. Yet nobody’s playbook! Lauren has scaled consumer brands from 0 to hundreds of millions - founding team at HelloFresh Canada, plus Huggies, Spin Master, Sano Genetics, and Tonies. Her case: offline is a performance channel. Measurable. Testable. Almost entirely under-resourced. She’ll show you how to run it like one - just in time for Gen Z bringing back landlines.
THEME: 🪜 Growth
Experimentation That Destroys Value: When Optimizing One Metric Breaks Another by Ester Serra
Understanding how test wins impact the bigger picture.
Founder @ Dataverto
A winning experiment isn’t a winning business decision! Read that again. Teams incentivised to grow at any cost rarely ask what a stat sig uplift costs in brand credibility, trust, and retention. This is no metrics sermon. Ester’s framework helps you see familiar numbers in a new light: as hiding places for trade-offs that sabotage CRO programs. Balance primary metrics against guardrails, without allowing cherry-picking.
THEME: 🔬 Experiment & CRO
Confidently Wrong: What Happens When AI Makes Experimentation (Almost) Free? by Matt Policastro
Improving trust in your tests.
Experimentation Specialist
Want to watch an LLM design and deploy an A/B test in real time? Us too! But the AI flourish isn’t the point. When testing gets (almost) free, half-baked ideas ship at scale - and “tests run” stops being a flex. Everyone senses the fix; nobody wants to say it out loud. Matt will: slow down, intentionally. He’ll show you where to add friction, how to build learning loops, and which decision criteria make results trustworthy so the restraint can sharpen momentum, instead of stalling it.
THEME: 🔬 Experiment & CRO
Experimental Design Lessons from Marine Biology by Julie van der Hoop
Building control in high-stakes experimentation.
Senior PM @ Wikimedia Foundation
Before Julie helped Wikipedia teams learn faster through privacy-first testing at billion-user scale, she was a marine biologist. Running experiments. With dolphins! In the wild, there’s no “just rerun it” - preparedness and discipline are how you get any signal at all. Julie learned to carve out pockets of control inside genuinely uncontrollable conditions. Sounds like testing in the AI flux, no? She brings the toolkit to navigate variance, chaos, and stubbornly small effects - for everyone who’s ever wondered whether their control condition is actually controlled.
THEME: 🔬 Experiment & CRO
Day 2 — Thursday, 10 September 2026
Whose Conversions Are You Optimising For? A Feminist Lens on Experimentation by Sabine Harnau
Keeping data from enforcing stereotypes.
Founder & Co-Managing Director @ From Scratch
We treat data as neutral. It isn’t. Every KPI carries assumptions about who the “average user” is - and as AI takes over ideas and execution, those assumptions harden into fact, at scale. Suddenly your program optimizes exclusively for heteronormative, able-bodied, cis, white, middle-class users. Sabine uses queer and feminist theory to surface what’s baked into your test metrics - asking not just who your data talks about, but who it alienates. People in experimentation hold power over choices. That power shouldn’t be allowed to manipulate.
THEME: 🤝 Diversity & Inclusion
The Most Dangerous Moment in Any Experiment Is When It Starts Working by Himani Kothari
Are your systems built for success?
Supply Chain Leader & Host, While She Builds
Every experimenter has a plan for losing tests. Almost no one has a plan for the winners. A stat sig uplift is a promise your whole business now has to keep - demand, capacity, support, fulfillment. Himani has seen wins scale faster than the systems built to hold them, and she’ll show you why mature programs in Fortune 500s ask “what breaks when this works?” before launch - to avoid an unforeseen collapse.
THEME: 🔬 Experiment & CRO
You Shipped Everything. Why Isn’t NRR Moving? by Nikki Elbaz
The 9 moments driving expansion & upgrades.
Retention Strategist & Host, Churn Flags
When we chase expansion revenue, we default to new - new features, new markets, new ad spend. Nikki, host of the Churn Flags podcast, says the expansion you’re after is sitting in the product you already have and the customers you’ve already paid (dearly - CAC has never been higher) to acquire. Churn and upgrade decisions don’t happen on AE calls. They happen in-product, every time a change in your app, your user, or the market forces a re-evaluation. Nikki maps the 9 moments where you can sway that decision in your favor.
THEME: 🪜 Growth
From Fragile Frameworks to Antifragile Experimenters by Iqbal Ali
Is thinking your USP yet?
Fractional Experimentation Lead & Trainer
Last year, Hesh Fekry stood on this (virtual) stage and declared: “We are drowning in frameworks! Period.” Iqbal arrives with the rescue plan. “Don’t outsource your thinking to AI” is popular advice. He asks: weren’t we already outsourcing it to acronyms? Iqbal has spent serious time training language models and studying how they “think” - and why that isn’t anything like human intelligence. His session: practical techniques to rebuild deep understanding, the one capability that will stay premium.
THEME: 🚀 Personal Development
Silent Customer Signals: Rethinking Customer Value by Liliann Malcolm
Identifying subtle intent for giant paydays.
Market Intelligence & CX Leader
Who’s your best customer? Easy - the biggest spender, right? Liliann disagrees. That model is dying, and with CACs shooting through the roof, you can’t afford the blind spot. Behavioral signals - recency, frequency, website visits, email engagement, purchase patterns beyond gross AOV - paint a different portrait: customers displaying real intent while flying under the radar. Liliann shows you how to spot these subtle signals, act on them, and re-segment your existing base for better targeting, experimentation, and decision-making across the board.
THEME: 🪜 Growth
All 121 applications were scored by 3 judges.
For the following criteria:
We hunted for talks with genuinely fresh angles - not rehashes making the conference rounds. If it could’ve been given at any other event this year, it didn’t make the cut.
Talks that offer practical techniques or a mental model to the attendees received higher scores.
That X-factor. How excited did the speakers get us about the learning? Could they transmit their energy to us?
Did the pitch have an opening, a body, and a close? Did the concepts and ideas reflect meticulous (mature!) thinking?
New This Year
Would you watch this? That quirky human instinct of “I’d pay money for this”. Talks that activated it strongly were given extra attention.

Great delivery, beautiful slides. The content of her 4 main points were spot on. The issues with sample ratios and session based metrics May presented are the clearest and easiest to understand I have come across. Better than some industry veterans. The introduction was solid!

Sometimes experimentation and CRO is too much numbers/statistics that people tend to forget that the tests/experiments they are conducting are with real human beings. Loved the mosaic analogy and these very important anthropological, sociological and psychological aspects. Well done!
Feedback for Axelle Ahanhanzo2024 Talk Title: Inclusion by Design: Fostering Neurodiversity in Tomorrow's Solutions
It’s 2023….
And women are frustrated.
30% representation isn’t a huge ask.
But the needle never moved. The same line-ups. The same lack of diversity. The same easy way out.
The excuse: There are very few seasoned women speakers around.
Daphne Tideman, Lucia van den Brink, and Marcella Sullivan did the difficult thing: They took action.
Women in Experimentation was born. It grew into a community that is thousands strong. It developed exhaustive speaker lists. It volunteered to find women keen to share their know-how, when organizer networks fell short.
In time, the community teamed up with Convert.com® - a growth and experimentation platform dedicated to encouraging doers and builders - to launch this Summit.
A summit that was not supposed to happen.
A summit where speakers are coached and paid. A summit where there is 70% female representation and 30% speakers of color. A summit that has gone house-full two years in a row, without paying the AI theme tax.
If you’re here and planning to attend; you are strengthening a movement shaping the quality of conversations and collaborations across CRO, UX, and growth.
Well done you 👍
